Grandpa Detlef Plön took the first step in 1938: With the purchase of the idyllic court with agriculture in high-class beach situation in the small fishing village Sierksdorf he put the foundation-groundwork for a charming family business directly on the Baltic Sea. Already during the 2. war a comfortable restaurant was pursued here beside the agriculture.

How it all started...

The charm of the place soon got about and from the 50s Sierksdorf became from the small fishing village a popular bathing resort. When in 1954 the son Hans Bauer and his woman took over the business and invested in eight holiday rooms and welcomed more than 15 years happy holiday-makers under the old lime-trees of the court. Then for health reasons the family business had to be leased from 1970-1990.

Family character, dreamlike location

But from 1990 the company history was continued by us: Antje and I take over the Hotel Hof Sierksdorf and invest in your perfect holiday: In 2005/2006 18 comfortable flats originate for a miraculous family vacation in Sierksdorf and a comfortable restaurant with great terrace. Here you also enjoy even today the tasty cakes -the old family recipes of granny Bauer. Since what continues about all years of the change, are the family hearty character of our house and the dreamlike location.
